Creativity Is the Key to Financial Success

You’re not making more money because you think money only exists to be spent – not multiplied.

But the truth is…

Money doubles.

Money multiplies.

Get it?

Money increases.

But my family didn’t always understand or believe that.

I used to say that money was running away from me.

Whenever the family was on hard times and money was scarce I’d get depressed about it and imagine I was chasing it like Wile E. Coyote from the Looney Toons, and the money was more elusive than the Road Runner.

It felt like money wanted nothing to do with me.

Even my dad admitted that whether money was tight or not, whenever we’d visit the homes of friends and family with fancy things like, pillars, expensive cars in the driveway, and large flat screen TVs in the living room, he’d turn his nose up.

Because good – even Godly people – didn’t need things. Right?

Maybe that’s why money was running away from us.

To cope, my dad saw himself as somehow better-than for not having nice things.

Back then it never occurred to him to ask how these expensive things and experiences were even acquired.

It’s not that it was about fancy things or consumerism, because we still needed basic things covered, like bills.

He judged himself unworthy of learning the universal principle that money increases.

And at different frustrating times we’d all gone blind to that principle.

Money is currency, and currency is movement.

Money Is Alive

Myron Golden has a quote that goes:

“Rich people think about how to turn money into more money.”

Nowadays when my family gets asked how much certain things cost when living abroad it makes us wonder what their relationship to money and wealth really is.

Do they see costs everywhere? Or do they see opportunities to increase what they have?

Is it a lack mentality pretending to be a mature concern (school fees, cost of living, etc)?

Or is it an abundance mindset and they’re already thinking about the opportunity to live abroad?

3 ways to have more money:

  • Save more money
  • Invest more money
  • Sell more products (for more money)

Creative and abundance mindsets really helped our family achieve the goals we have so far and they especially had an impact on my brothers and I.

When we (realistically my parents) were in debt years ago we made two shifts.

1.) We enrolled in a Dave Ramsey program to attack bills head-on.

We focused on paying the larger bills first and we eliminated needless spending.

That was tough around the holidays, but we had a goal and we focused on it with one mind.

2.) We published and sold a novel called Noteworthy Tribute that my dad and I wrote together.

Amazon sales from this music-inspired, coming-of-age, family drama helped our family pay off our bills, save more money, and get out of debt.

It didn’t solve all our money problems but it became one more lever we could pull to hit our goal.

And soon we did hit our goal and we’ve been debt-free ever since!

This allowed us to move to Los Angeles and live happily for 3 years, and then later fly to East Africa to start our new lives – again.

But if we – not just my dad and I – had kept looking at money as just something to spend, just a shackle, or something we were chasing but would never catch up to, we wouldn’t have been been positioned to be debt-free, move to Southern California, or live in two East African countries inside of one year.

Slowly but surely we started to see money as a living thing that we could create more of through smart systems that could change our lives for the better.

Emphasis on create.

This has even affected me and my brother Daniel’s attitude and relationship to money in our freelance careers while living abroad.

Our sense of self-worth has strengthened and we see more money-making opportunities than ever before so we sharpen our Media and IT skills accordingly.

Our parents’ lessons have paid off and it’s only the beginning.

And we want the same for you.

Wealth Is A Mindset

Money and wealth are living things that don’t like to be chased, they like to grow.

How can you make your money grow?

The first step is to understand that success in any endeavor is dependent on 3 pillars.

Those Pillars of Success are:

  • Identify
  • Mindset
  • Process

How do you view yourself? As a loser?

How do you view money? Lacking and elusive?

How do you view process? A waste of time?

I’ll give you a hint –  some form of abundance has to be the root. You have to still believe that it’s possible to change things around.

It isn’t easy.

Everyone’s way won’t work for you.

There will be setbacks.

Other people won’t understand.

You might not always understand.

You will want to quit.

But success is possible.

We did it and you can too.

Let’s get started.

Download the free 3 PILLARS OF SUCCESS poster. How does it help you?

This one-page PDF breaks down each pillar and how to understand them and apply them to your life, and it doesn’t matter if you want to become debt-free or travel the world.

It will help you succeed at whatever you want by developing your identity, mindset, and processes.

Whatever you want to accomplish – it’s possible.
